Punjab Police have arrested Amarjit Singh, the pramukh sewadar (chief caretaker) of a Gurudwara in Kapurthala. Amarjit Singh and a mob had brutally killed a man on December 19. The mob killed the unidentified man in the presence of some policemen. A local court of Kanpur has sentenced a Mohammedan man, Javed, to 10 years of imprisonment. The Kanpur district and sessions court has also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000/- on the criminal.
