Punjab Police have arrested Amarjit Singh, the pramukh sewadar (chief caretaker) of a Gurudwara in Kapurthala. Amarjit Singh and a mob had brutally killed a man on December 19. The mob killed the unidentified man in the presence of some policemen. Punjab Police suspects ISI backed Khalistani elements behind the bomb blast in a court complex of Ludhiana. The blast killed at least 1 person and injured many on Thursday. Police suspect that the killed person was handling the bomb himself. A local court of Kanpur has sentenced a Mohammedan man, Javed, to 10 years of imprisonment. The Kanpur district and sessions court has also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000/- on the criminal. Javed had presented himself as Munna to a 17 year old Hindu girl by hiding his Muslim identity. The case dates back to 2017.
