Priests will establish the vigrah (idol) in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple,” said Champat Rai. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust General secretary Champat Rai told this to reporters at Ayodhya.
He said that by October 2023 the workers will complete the construction work of the first floor of the Janmabhoomi temple. Champat Rai said construction work of the temple is going on a war footing.

The idol of Ram Lalla will be in the form of a child between the age of 5 to 7 years, he said.
According to the trust, the idol of Lord Ram will be 8.5 feet tall, which will take 5 to 6 months to build. “We will select a stone of sky colour for the installation of Ram Lalla. Expert sculptors from Maharashtra and Odisha have assured that such a stone is available with them,” Champat Rai said.
A sculptor, who was bestowed with Padma Shri award, will give shape to Ram Lalla idol. We have engaged senior sculptors Sudarshan Sahu and Vasudev Kamat from Orissa. Trust has also engaged Ramaiah Wadekar from Karnataka, for this work, Champat Rai said. “The trust also has asked these sculptors to prepare a diagram of the idol,” he said.
According to him, sculptors will keep in mind that on the day of Ramnavami, the Lord’s forehead wears the tilak of sun’s rays. “We have decided that its height will be about eight and a half feet,” the Ram Janmabhoomi trust spokesperson said.
