Haldwani (Uttarakhand): The Haldwani administration is making preparations to carry out an eviction drive. The aim is to remove illegal encroachments from the railway land, as per Uttrakhand High Court orders. But, the Islamist-Leftist-Liberal cabal is trying to project the encroachers as victims. And, portraying the administration as villain.
Police, administration, and railways are duty-bound to ensure peaceful removal of illegal encroachments in the area where about 50,000 people are encroaching on land belonging to Indian Railways.
The encroachers, mostly Muslims have staged a protest against the clearance of illegal encroachments. They argue that removing the illegal encroachments would render them homeless. A convenient argument, indeed!
Picking up the issue, the Samajwadi Party, the Congress Party and All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), along with the usual social media suspects, are now busy competing with each other to provoke Muslims in India and give a legitimate eviction drive an anti-Muslim colour.
Victims or Criminals?
This is a government land, belonging to the Indian Railways, and the political parties and the cabal are provoking Muslims to defy court orders. The encroachers are using the strategy used at Shaheen Bagh. They are presenting women and children in front of cameras to make it look like a Muslim rights issue. The typical victim card.
Take for instance, the line of a typical ‘social justice warrior’
She has conveniently omitted that the case went on for more than six years in the High court. It is the court that has given directions to Haldwani administration and Railways to remove encroachments.
This raises several questions – Does the law-abiding and tax-paying citizen of this country have any rights at all? Or the rights are only for encroachers and law-breakers? Can they simply claim that they are immune from prosecution just because they are Muslims? Can we allow a community to trample the law of the land?
Supreme Court should take serious note of this utter defiance of state and judicial authority, as well as, naked acts of provocation in Haldwani. Law applies to all– the majority Hindus as well as the minority Muslims. At least it should!
