Due to lack of awareness among Hindu girls, love jihad cases are becoming rampant. The latest incident is from Siwan district of Bihar, Where a Muslim, Kallimullah Sheikh, posed as Hindu to fraudulently marry a Hindu girl.
According to reports, Kallimullah Sheikh (28) changed his identity and posed as Samir Khanna. He entrapped a Hindu girl, who was a student at his coaching centre. In her police complaint, the woman alleged that the accused, who used to teach English at his institute, had offered her to be a staffer there. She accepted the offer and started working there.
She said that Sheikh used to pretend that he respects the Hindu Dharm and followed all Hindu rituals. He also used to wear a Kalawa, a sacred Hindu thread on his wrist. The two got married in a local court and later solemnised the wedding in March 2017. This is a typical modus operandi of Love Jihad criminals.
After marriage, Shiekh revealed his real identity to her. The victim realised that it is too late now, and she has nowhere to go. He then again married her in a Madarasa and changed her name as Aiysha Khatun. Later, when she gave birth to a baby girl, the accused dumped her, she said in the complaint.
Sheikh, a native of Deoria in Uttar Pradesh, has shut down his six years old institute and is absconding. Police is investigating the matter now to find out if it is another case of Love Jihad.
Love Jihad is rampant
Similarly in November, one Taufiq Alam pretended to be Raj Rajput to trap a Hindu woman Julie Kumari. This incident had taken place in Katihar district of Bihar. She later got to know about his real identity and maintained distance from him. The accused, was already married and had an 11-year-old daughter.
TNI had reported another such case of Love Jihad from Jharkhand, just four days back.
