In yet another case of suspected Love Jihad a Muslim man forging his identity as a Hindu tried to dupe a family.

Posing as Hindu, one Aslam Khan tried to trick a poor Hindu family. He entrapped the family to marry their minor daughter in Jharkhand’s Bokaro.

But his actual identity got revealed at the time of garlanding ceremony. Following which, he was caught hold of, by the people present at the event. They thrashed him before he managed to flee in his car.

The cops have found Khan was in jail last year on charges of fraud. He had earlier tricked a tribal woman into marrying him. He has several other cases against him.

According to Girl’s father, a vendor, they first time met the accused during a visit to Dena Bank for a loan. He introduced himself as Sanjay Kasera and started visiting their house regularly on the pretext of helping them with the loan.

The 50-year-old, accused of love Jihad, claimed to be  a police officer. He promised his daughter a better life and pressurised them for the marriage. The family agreed due to its weak financial condition and threats.

But during the wedding ceremony, a labourer, who put up the wedding pandal, identified him as Aslam Khan. The labourer said he knew him from jail where they were together lodged a year ago.

All the family members as well as relatives got the shock of their lives. Soon, having got the information, Bajrang Dal members reached the venue. But by then, the accused and a few people accompanying him fled from the scene.

Calling it a case of “love jihad”, Bajrang Dal has demanded action against the accused. Meanwhile, the local police have registered an FIR.
