Supporting bursting of crackers, Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev said let children have the fun of bursting crackers and adults should go to office without car for three days as a sacrifice for the children. Kangana Ranaut has also supported Sadhguru’s statement.
“Concern about air pollution is not a reason to prevent kids from experiencing the joy of firecrackers. As your sacrifice for them, walk to your office for 3 days. Let them have the fun of bursting crackers,” Sadhguru posted on Twitter.
He also released his video. “I have not lit a cracker in quite a few years. But, when I was a child, how much it meant! From the month of September, we will be dreaming crackers. And after Diwali is over, we will save the crackers and keep on doing it every day,” he recalled the childhood days. In fact what Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has said is everyone’s childhood story.
“Let not people who are suddenly enviromentally active say “no child should have burst crackers.” This is not a good way to go. All those people who are concerned about pollution in the air, in polluting the air. You can do one thing as your sacrifice for the children, so that children can enjoy. Adults can stop the crackers. And for that for three days, you walk to your office, do not drive your car. Let children have the fun of bursting crackers,”
Kangana Ranaut supports Sadhguru
Bollywood’s ‘Dhakad’ actress Kangana Ranaut has supported Sadhguru’s statement by sharing his video on her Instagram story.
“Perfect answer to all Diwali environment activists. Walk to your office. Don’t use cars for three days,” she wrote. And in another Instagram story, she wrote about Sadhguru, “He is the man who caused world record of green cover by planting millions of trees.”
Realistically speaking, if we look at various studies on air pollution in India, bursting of crackers is not even worth mentioning. Because, we have far more serious sources of pollution. Millions of cars, industries, factories, stubble burning and meat industry are major culprits of air and water pollution. So, keeping scientific statistics in mind, Jaggi Vasudev’s statement makes a lot of sense.
