Pune: ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ of Rahul Gandhi seems to have motivated anti-Hindu pastors and fake prophets. This was evident when the Congress prince met Catholic priest George Ponnaiah. George had been denigrating Hindu deities and insulting Bharat Mata.
It was also visible when Rahul met an association of evangelists in Nanded. The evangelists assured him that Christians were praying for his victory and election as prime minister.
A series of such instances chugs on. A fresh incident has come to light. A self-proclaimed pastor was cajoling a gathering to accept Christ. He was giving a clarion call to engage in Bharat Jodo Yatra like march to convert Hindus in Maharashtra.
The pastor, named Jadhav, made this call at a three-day prophetical meeting organized by him in Baramati. The region is a stronghold of Maharashtra strongman Sharad Pawar.
“Believe in Christianity. Believe in the existence of Jesus. Praise the Lord. If you change now then only you will be able to change several people across the country. You never know we might engage in a Bharat Jodo type of Yatra and make people staying across the country believe in Christianity. Praise the Lord,” he said.
The evangelical event was organized at Mission High School. It operates under the eyes of Conference of Churches of Christ in Western India.
Sister insults Hindus
Several poor women, wearing sarees, bindis and sindhoors, attended the event. Apparently, they were all Hindus. One sister Mercy, heaped insult on them took the stage. She demeaned Hindu sages and poor people.
In one of her praises to the Lord, the Sister insulted Hindus by calling them fools and illiterates. She said that they are attending the event by the Lord’s will. “Yeshu ka Darbaar re hume pyara lagat hai. Tere Darbar me kaun kaun aye, Pandit, Murakh, Gavar re hume pyara lagat hai,” she said.
This Hindu bashing continued for the next one hour. It continued till Prophet Dr Anish Vijagat, the chief guest, arrived at the event.
Meanwhile, some of the converted Christian women were alluring the first-time Hindu attendees. They were asking them to renounce Hinduism and accept Jesus as their saviour. They also cajoled the Hindu participants to discard idol worshipping and embrace the Christian god.
In came Dr Vijagat and started gaslighting Hindu attendees. He said that the organisers of the event faced legal hardships and opposition, but it happened due to God’s will.
As Vijagat was speaking, Sister Mercy along with one of her companions, circulated red baskets seeking donations from the attendees.
Christianity is like business
One of the born Christians Andrews (name changed) at the event confessed that they hold such events woo non-Christian people into the Christianity.
“This is like mass advertising. They invite people and tell them that Christianity will solve all their problems. They just do what they have to do to attract people to Christianity,” he said.
“Sometimes people feel the difference. But then these people imbibe in their minds that the Lord has come to their help. Then they ask them to attend the Church on Sundays and then they are given Baptism,” Andrews said.
He argued that conversion is wrong, because asking people to join Christianity amounts to forceful conversion. Promoting religion, and getting people baptized too is wrong, Andrews said.
“Many times the Church bombards people saying that we are the true people of God and others are sinners, but during Covid I realized why could not the so-called mediators between humans and God save the world?” he questioned.
Andrews also added that pastors and bishops instil fear among people by promoting their religion and earn a fast buck to better their own personal lives.
Event Cancelled On Day 4
On the third day of the event, after an OpIndia report, the gathering was cancelled after the owner of the venue was enlightened about the sham gathering.
Criticizing the prophetical meetings, a RSS member Mukund Kulkarni said such events should not be permitted because it is all a sham. The organisers lure the poor and needy and offer them money or basic facilities, he said.
“They also make sure that the poor people from other religions like Hinduism hate Hindu religious Gods and Goddesses and start believing in Christianity. Jesus or Christianity is not bad, in fact, no religion. But luring people, giving them fake claims, and forcing them to convert is wrong,” he said.
Kulkarni advocated implementation of anti-conversion law in Maharashtra and said legal provisions are necessary to take action against such sham gatherings.
“These illegal gatherings should stop. I also appeal to Hindus to not fall prey to such evangelical attempts and believe in our deity for our better lives,” he said.
It also be a wise step for Hindus to defeat the pro-evengelistic politicians like Rahul Gandhi, if not done it will be a little wonder that pastors like Jadhav and Dr Vijagat, will want to convert Hindus across India.
