The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is to protect the minorities who have faced persecution in the three Islamic countries for the past 70 years. The Karnataka high court considers marriage of minor Muslim girls invalid due to POCSO. The court observed that such a marriage is invalid as it violates provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
