Dehradun: Uttarakhand government is giving more teeth to forced conversions laws. The Uttarakhand Freedom of religion act, 2018, is also called Love Jihad law. The Uttarakhand government decided to enlist it as a cognizable offence. Criminals involved in fraudulent or forcible conversions will now face 10 years in prison.
