Currently, Suhani Shah is appearing on national channels. The channels introduce her as a mind reader. The anchors of the show ask her to “read” minds of someone. And lo! the glib talking Suhani does it. Many are just foxed at her feat. Let us try to understand her modus operandi.
Predection on Slate
Mind reader Suhani Shah performed several tricks with the audience in a show of ABP News. She wrote some prediction on a blank slate. These predictions are found to be correct and the audience was shocked to see these “miracles”.
How did that happen
Suhani Shah asked a member in the audience to think the name for a vacation spot. After this, she acted as if she is concentrating. Or, trying to read the mind of the person for some time. Subsequently, she wrote something, ostensibly, the name of the vacation place, on the board. Then she asked that person to reveal the name of the vacation spot the person was thinking about. He revealed that the name of the place is “Rampur”.
At this point, Suhani reversed the slate. The audience was surprised and impressed that she had already written the name Rampur on the slate.
Is it clairvoyance? Or magical power? No. It is smart use of technology. Suhani Shah was using a one-sided electronic Gimmick Slate and before showing her slate she asked the person about his answer. In the meantime, a member of her team writes the words on Suhani Shah’s Electronic slate using remote access device. And this is how Suhani becomes a “mind reader”.
Suhani Predicting on Paper
OK. So, she was using an electronic slate. But, she has done such tricks on paper also. No one could have remotely changed the writing on a piece of paper!
In this trick, Suhani chooses a random person from audience. And tries to predict their birth time. After sometime she takes a pen and pretends to be writing down something on a piece of paper.
For this “miracle” Suhani uses something called a Swami Gimmick. It is a tiny lead pencil that you attached to thumb. The result will be that you can write something without anyone knowing. She very cleverly asks the person about the birth time and writes it down on paper using Swami Gimmick.
It surprises audience and everyone wonders how its done, and believes that Suhani can truly read minds. In fact, it is just cunning use of technology to make loads of money.
