Kasargod: Many people are reverting to Sanatan fold. One among them is O Sruthi from Kerala, who is author of a book titled “Story of a Reversion.” In this book she narrates her story – from converting to Islam and then reverting to Sanatana Dharma.
In an interview, Sruthi said Maunath-Ul-Islam Sabha injects anti-national and anti-Hindu ideas into girls like her. “They also taught Bharat is a Hindu nation and a place of Kafirs. They also spoke vulgarly about Hindu culture which resulted in her liking towards Islam and hatred towards Hinduism and Bharat,” she said.
The Sabha taught the converted girls that Hindus ignore the poor, unlike Muslims who give them succour. Constantly listening to Muslim preachers like Zakir Naik turned her into a woman jihadi, she said.
Sruthi meets Acharya Manoj
The saga of Sruthi reverting to Sanatana Dharma is an interesting tale. In this process, Acharya KR Manoj played a stellar role. She woke up from an obnoxious slumber in a debate with Acharya Manoj, who convinced her about the Islamic philosophical discrepancies. This prompted her to study Sanatana Dharma, which firms up the basis of the highest knowledge. This also led her to become a disciple of Acharya Manoj and steadied her life as a Sadhika.
“I decided to do Prayaschitta (atonement) for my wrong doings. For me, who had set forth on a mission to propagate a spurious ideology throughout my life, I could not shy away or stay away from my duty when I realized the truth. Most of the people whom Aarsha Vidya Samajam has brought back to Hindu Dharma, and their relatives, prefer to keep their experiences unrevealed. They are least interested in rescuing others,” Sruthi said.
But, she resolved to protect others from bad experiences and to bring back those who have converted because of misguidance and misconceptions, and those on the verge of conversion.
Sanatan Dharm is best: Sruthi
“God has given us such a great Dharma, yet, we are unable to understand its greatness, because we have not learnt and we don’t have a system in place to teach this. This is called Swadhyaya Rahityam (lack of self-study),” Sruthi said.
But how did she reach out to Acharya Manoj?
That’s another interesting tale. Sruthi’s parents lodged a complaint with the local police who located her by following her mobile phone IMEI number. One night, on the eve of Vijayadasami, they came in search of her to the Sabha at Ponnani, but she was adacious of being in an Islamic centre and firm on, not forsaking Islam and fighting for Deen and Allah, at any cost. The police showed her a copy of her father’s complaint and court order, asking her to appear in Court.
Brainwashing by Muslims
As per the advice of Usthad, Sruthi submitted a letter seeking leave of two days and promising of her return to Sabha. Wearing a scarf and holding her luggage she came out of the Sabha. There was a large gathering to encourage her. The Ustad told her to go boldly and come back bravely and stated that her parents will perform black magic on her and try to change her mind, but never submit.
“Even if they ask you to tie threads sanctified by chants around your wrist, do not agree. Tell the Court firmly that you want to come back here. Your parents might pretend that they are fainting. There are chances that they may get hospitalized. Come what may, don’t budge,” the Usthad advised.
“Deen is above everything else. Allah is the only God. I have arranged accommodation for you in my friend’s house when you return. You must come back. It is wise to get married to avoid further complications. A suitable boy for marriage is ready. He has come seeking Deen. We will perform the Nikah as soon as you return,” he said.
From the Magistrate’s house, Sruthi’s parents and some Hindu organization members took her to Karnataka to meet Acharya Manoj. Before meeting Acharya, Sruthi had a different perception of him. “I was picturing someone with long hair or hair tied into a knot, beard, clad in saffron, wearing Rudrakash garlands, and a lean body. But he was a stout man in ordinary clothes, sans beard, knotted hair, or the look of a Sanyasi. He was unassuming and extremely poised,” she said.
Maunath-Ul-Islam Sabha experience
Sruthi’s experiences at Sabha was harrowing. The teacher to whom she was introduced pulled out everything from her bag, including clothes, comb, and sanitary pads, and put them on the floor. The teacher also took away the books that were in her bag, a health magazine and a book describing Hell, along with sanitary pads and the originals of her certificates.
“Pads are not allowed here, only pieces of cloth. Read only the books we provide here. Leave the rest here,” she said. The teacher collected ornaments saying that there were people from other lands. “When she said that certificates should be kept there, I was doubtful whether these would be safe there,” she asked her.
“If you have no trust, get out of here right now. Don’t stay,” she said in a raised voice.
“For a moment, the faces of my father, my mother, and all my beloved ones flashed through my mind. I felt like running away. But, Islam, Allah, and the Prophet had influenced me so deeply, that they held me back. I suppressed the fear and pain that rushed to my mind,” she said.
Sruthi decided to continue only to return, and is, BACK WITH A BANG!!
