Going by the reactions, the new poster of the film “Adipurush” has failed to impress the general public. The upcoming ‘Adipurush’, is a 3-D film featuring Prabhas as Bhagwan Ram. The makers released the poster yesterday, on the birthday of Prabhas.

Earlier, the general public had criticised the teaser of the movie. People have asked the producers to make important changes, if they want audience to watch the film. But, today’s poster shows no visible changes in the looks of Lord Ram, leading to disappointment of the masses.

Social media users have been raising objections to the look of all the characters. Moreover, they have criticised the VFX as well animation used in the movie. They alleged Ravan looks like Khilji and not the general perception Ravan. Moreover, they also raised questions over Ram’s moustache and the leather belt around his shoulder. Also, the masses took exception to vanar sena shown as “cartoons.”

Don’t overuse technology

“What a bad poster that white border surrounding the red cloth and arrow looks so absurd and fake. Moreover, the skin smoothening filter has been used to such an extent that it’s looking like a wax face with unnecessary glow, and is that a microphone,” said a Tweeter user.

Advertisment

Ganya Surve wondered, “Actually, we are not haters, we just want some real stuff jisma real wali feelings aaye dekkar, see this poster, same cartoon animated lagrha hain. Where is that real #Prabhas jo humhe #Bahubali Dikha. Q ye movie ko aise banaya gaya jabki iss movie ma bahubali se jyada paise Lage!”

“The poster proves that the movie is in a bad shape as the trailer showed. The whole character of Prabhas looks synthetic and artificial as hell. Give me a low budget but heartfelt, shot in the real world with real actors Ramayana any day over this huge budget VFX heavy film,” added Abhijit.

Positive reactions

However, there are some supporters too. Dhriyamana tweeted, “I had a discussion with 15 years old on Trailer. It was clear that movie is made for present times. Unless something isvgrossly wrong, leave it to the viewers. There is a strong need of movies on Ramayana, Mahabharata & other Epics. Please don’t make it tough to revive Kalidasa.”

“Looks like a perfect mix of animation and motion capture. Prabhas is real there. No he is not. I cant believe it is motion capture. Cant wait for the south east Asian countries response after release,” added another supporter.

Om Raut, director of the movie, in an interview to a news channel earlier had said they have only tried to take the film to the global audience. We have made the movie with big screens in mind, not cell phones.

The 3D-film based on Indian mythology, Ramayan, features Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in lead roles. The film will hit the theatres on January 12, 2023, in different languages. T-series, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, and Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles have jointly produced the movie.
