A group of men allegedly abducted, brutally assaulted and gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. After committing the crime, the rapists put her in a sack and dumped her near Nandgram Police station. Police has taken Mohammad ShahRukh, Mohammad Javed and Mohammad Aurangzeb in custody.

In early hours of Tuesday, Police received information that a woman was lying in a pool of blood. An iron rod was present in her private parts. On receiving the information, the police immediately reached the spot. The woman was lying on ground in a pool of blood near Ashram road. Police immediately rushed her to hospital.

According to Police, the woman is a resident of East Delhi. The Delhi Commission for Women has asked Police to furnish a copy of FIR of the case. Furthermore, DCW has asked police to submit the action taken, along with details of the persons arrested by October 21.

“The hospital staff had great difficulty in removing the rod. She is now fighting for her life. We have issued a notice… there should be a swift arrest and strict action taken. This case is just like the Nirbhaya case… It is my appeal that a fast track court should be set-up for this case. So that the criminals get swift and severe punishment,” DCW chief Swati Maliwal said.

Meanwhile, hospital authorities have updated that the victim’s vitals were stable. And no internal injuries had been found so far. She is under observation, said the hospital authorities.

She said that she had gone to her brother’s birthday party in Nandgram. When her brother dropped her back, some people known to her took her away. She said there were two people and then told us later that five people had raped her.

We have registered a case on the basis of her brother’s complaint. And four people were taken into custody. There is seemingly a property dispute between the family and those men in which a court case is also ongoing. Action is being taken.
